Zazzle, Etsy, eBay, CafePress, and Your Blog
Beginning Saturday, April 10, 2010, I'll begin adding information about Spotted Squids' Zazzle, Etsy, eBay, and Cafepress stores to this blog. In order to have your online store featured on the Spotted Squid blog, you need to do three things:
- Establish Yourself as a Spotted Squid (see the Spotted Squid Lens for details),
- Post a link to your store in the proper plexo on the Spotted Squid lens, and
- Post a link to your store in the proper Topic area on the Discussion Board found on the Facebook Spotted Squid Fan Page.
When you do these things, you'll be creating a link system to promote your Squidoo Fan Page (so you have more fans who will receive your Squidcasts) and your online stores so you get more business (smile).
Once you've done your part, I'll review the plexos and the topics on the discussion board looking for stores and blogs to add to the pages that are found just below the header on this blog. That will add one more set of links to your work.
Don't forget to sign-up for updates for this blog. That way you can learn about the new developments as they happen.

Networking Like a Pro for Squidoo Lensmasters
People join Squidoo for a lot of different reasons. Many want to share their adventures with their families and their hobbies with each other. Quite a few have businesses they want to promote. If you browse the Squidoo Lenses, you'll quickly discover that writers, photographers, web-designers, marketers, programmers, do-it-yourself folks, parents, work at home moms, and other home-based business owners use Squidoo to network and have fun.
As you get acquainted with their work, you'll see those who have developed a following are talented at creating Squidoo lenses that can be grouped into categories called a niche. You'll also discover that the authors use other websites to find their audience and promote their Squidoo lenses. It's easy to recognize the pattern a Squidoo Lensmaster uses by looking at their brand, niche, and the other websites where they meet others, talk about their work, and complete projects together.
The Spotted Squid specializes in researching the work of Squidoo Lensmasters at Squidoo, on their blogs, or websites, and in social media sites like Facebook. Why do the research? Their work teaches how to build a successful network for a home based business.
If you don't already belong to Squidoo, you can join here. Once you're a Squidoo Lensmaster you can join my Squidoo Fan Page to get updates. If you're a Facebook user, you can join the Spotted Squid fan page instead.
Or, if you'd like, you can follow this blog, sign-up for the RSS feed, or follow me on Twitter.
